After Hours Clinics

After Hours Clinics are available to all patients, whether you have a doctor or not. At this time we do not offer walk-in clinics at these locations during the day – only “After Hours”

Where are the After Hours Clinics located?

55 Angeline Street North, Lindsay (Giant Tiger Plaza)

(operated by the CKL Family Health Organization)

Monday – Thursday – 6:00pm to 9:00pm
Friday  – closed
Saturday & Sunday – 9:00am to 12:00pm (noon)

Holidays – 9:00am to 12:00pm (noon) – (When Physicians / Staff Available)

This is a walk-in After Hours Clinic only. You are not able to book an appointment at this time.

Phone: 705-880-1213
Fax: 705-880-1215

Please note as of June 19th, the After Hours Clinic (AHC) will be limiting how many walk-in patients will be seen during their hours of operation. The Family Health Organization (FHO) doctors, who run the AHC, have the availability to book their patients into the AHC during their regular office hours. If your doctor is a member of the FHO, please call their office between 8:30am to 3:30pm to see if they can book a same day appointment for you. With this advanced booking, it is possible that the AHC could be fully booked prior to the doors opening. Each day the AHC will post on their door at 4pm if there are spots available or if the clinic is fully booked.

URGENT CARE CLINIC

7 Days a week 10 am to 5 pm

Hours of operation are 10-5 seven days per week, however numbers are limited by our staff capacity so we are only able to see a finite number of patients each day.

Questions?

Who can attend?
These clinics, provided by the local Family Health Organization physicians, are open to everyone in need of after-hours, urgent care.

Can I book an appointment in advance?

Appointments cannot be booked in advance. Services are provided on a “first come, first serve” basis.

Due to high demand for the walk-in services, the clinic doctors are only able to address one immediate problem per patient, per visit.

Can I come to the clinic during daytime office hours?
No. The After Hours Clinic runs after hours, not during the daytime on weekdays. The medical staff at the clinic during the day do not work for the After Hours Clinic. They cannot schedule patients for the After Hours Clinic as it is a separate operation.

Can I get my Annual Examination, PAP smear, PSA, Mammogram, Fecal Occult Blood Test, Cholesterol level, Routine vaccination, Driver’s license, etc. done at the clinic?
No, This clinic is strictly for after hours care. Clinic doctors do not provide on-going “full-service” medical care. Pap smears, physicals, breast examinations, vaccinations, psychotherapy, or counseling are better delivered by your regular family health care provider.

We strive to provide care to all the patients needing urgent medical care. The demand for care sometimes exceeds the capacity of the After Hours Clinic. Patients are asked to please arrange an appointment with their family doctor whenever possible. Patients who have needs that are non-urgent, such as medication refills, are also asked to please contact their own family physician directly.

Patients with emergency health concerns should call 911 or report to the nearest hospital’s emergency department.

Where do I find a new Family Physician?
Health Care Connect is a Government of Ontario program that identifies and places unattached patients with family doctors and nurse practitioners. Patients must be registered with Health Care Connect to be taken on by a doctor  or Nurse Practitioner who is a member of the City of Kawartha Lakes Family Health Team. To register please call 1-800-445-1822.

In partnership, the City of Kawartha Lakes Family Health Team and the Kawartha North Family Health Teams offer blood lab services for our patients:

*** You must be a patient of the family health teams to use these labs.***

A blood test requisition form and booked appointment are required.
