The City of Kawartha Lakes Family Health Team in March hosted a day of learning for all members of the local health care sector, held at the Pie Eyed Monk in Lindsay.

Topics included the lastest information in patient care for: physiotherapy for pelvic pain; transgendered patients and families; and substance and narcotic misuse. The day also include presentations n the state of health care provincially; the social determinants of health, and how to ensure inclusive and diverse practices. Family doctors are service providers were also invited to attend.

“Ongoing education and training are key to delivering the highest quality care to our patients,” noted Executive Director Mike Perry.
